As interest in my client's service provision is increasing we are looking for someone to join a busy Admissions team. The objective of the team is to be highly responsive to any enquiry and to exceed the expectations of the prospective enquiry at every stage of the process from the very first point of contact until the day of onboarding. The team understands the unique ethos of the organisation and articulates its benefits clearly.
THE POSITION
This is a new role created due to the increasing demand for services, due to a compelling reputation as a leading provider in their field, consulting with a customer base from both UK and overseas areas. Depending on experience you would start as an Admissions Assistant with the aim of promotion through to Registrar with experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Acting as main point of contact for all initial enquiries, handling customers’ requests in a professional, consistent, and welcoming manner to support the ethos of the organisation.
- Provide detailed advice on entry requirements, procedures, culture, and local area information by telephone, zoom, email, and letter.
- Work with the Registrar to arrange visits/online interviews for prospective applicants, and working with the team to organise tours, open days, and events.
- Work towards targets as set by the Senior Registrar with regards to recruitment.
- Maintaining accurate records on the admissions database, account management of enquiries from prospective applicants and processing applications in a timely fashion.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience;
- You will be a ‘people person’ and are likely to have experience in sales or customer service and have great communication skills.
- You will have excellent IT skills and be used to working with databases with a high level of accuracy.
- In the setting of a busy office you will be good at multi-tasking and prioritising your workload whilst remaining calm and positive.
- You will have a proactive and can do attitude and be a great team player who will relish building relationships within the team, within the organisation, with partners, and prospective clients
- Educated to Higher/A Level / Degree level or equivalent would be preferable
- Post is subject to Disclosure Scotland checks.
- Due to rural location, own transport required.
The salary will be at an appropriate point on the organisation’s salary scale. 37.5 hours per week; Full-time, Monday-Friday: 7.5 hours a day between 8am and 6pm as mutually agreed by rota within the department. You will also work around 6-8 Saturdays a year as part of an admissions rota and occasional evening/weekend work for events as agreed in advance.
